This general purpose disc has a white inkjet top surface, and records at a 16x speed, holding a capacity of 4.7GB of data. It will work with Rimage 2000i, Microboards Printfactory or Primera Inkjet printers. Its packaged in 50 pc beehive/cake boxes, and in master cartons of 200 pcs. This product is not designed to work in a Rimage Everest printer. This product is not recommended for screen printing.
MAM-A's DVD-Recordable Discs are highly specialized, write-once DVD-R media for massive data storage and retrieval. MAM's advanced technology and patented organic dye formulation have produced our current single-sided DVD-R 3.95GB disc and 4.7GB disc, General Purpose and Authoring. All discs are suitable for the creation of a DVD disc in any format (DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, Audio). Stored at room temperature, MAM DVD-R discs have an expected lifespan of about 50 years.
MAM offers a "full surface thermal printable" DVD-R. We removed the stacking ring from the top of the DVD to allow the thermal head to maintain contact across the entire surface.
These DVD-R discs are "Minus R" compatible. |

This disc has a white inkjet top surface, and a Silver (Phthalocyanine) recording surface, with a maximum recording speed of 52x. It will work with Rimage Liberty, EZCD, Microboards Printfactory or Primera printers. Its packaged in 100 pc shrink wrap, and in master cartons of 600 pcs. This product is not designed to work in a Rimage Everest printer. This product will not work with screen printing.

Why is it better?
#1 The Dye
Since the laser which records the data burns the dye, it is a key aspect of the technology required to manufacture a high-quality CD-R. Indeed, One of MAM's greatest strength lies in its use of the patented Phthalocyanine, the best organic dye currently available.
#2 The Surface
Mitsui/MAM-A discs feature their own “Diamond Coat” surface, which resists scratching and fingerprints. Unlike a pressed CD-ROM, normal CD-R processing leaves the most vital area the most vulnerable. Just below that lacquer surface & reflective layer on top of your disc is the precious dye layer, which is what stores all your data. Scratch the top, and you’ve got a problem. Mitsui/MAM-A Diamond Coat is an extra hard surface that keeps the data safe.
#3 The Consistency
Every disc Mitsui/MAM-A makes is made to the center of the Orange Book standard. They don’t cut any corners with shorter stacking rings (causes discs sticking together in automation), thinner reflective layers (poor playback on old readers,) or dye (100-300 year life vs. 10-30) |
